Academy Day 2024

We are welcoming all prospective students 8th-11th grade to join us on February 15, 2024 for an interactive on-campus day. This day is designed to help students prepare for the important decisions that are ahead for the 2024-2025 school year. We know that the more information a family and student have while making those important decisions, the easier it is to make them and take the steps necessary for a smooth transition.

On Academy Day students will:

• Experience classrooms in-person

• Visit dormitories

• Have an opportunity to visit with student finance

• Chat with our students and teachers

• Participate in scholarship opportunities

• Music audition times will be available for orchestra, band, and vocal

• Meet our athletes and coaches

This day is planned for families to be given what is needed to move forward with plans for the 2024-2025 school year.

Scholarship Opportunities

Students who attend Academy Day will be given the opportunity to earn valuable scholarships that will be applied to the subsequent year’s tuition. In order to maximize this opportunity for all students, in-class scholarship testing will take place in the following subject areas:

• Industrial Technology

• Health and Fitness

• Physics

• Science

• Math

• Bible

• History

Other scholarships opportunities are available by scheduling an appointment for an audition in the following areas:

• Instrumental Music- The student must be currently participating in a school music program OR be actively involved in private lessons and regular performance opportunities if a school music program is not available.

  • The student must demonstrate a desire to improve his/her skills through group involvement and or private lessons.

  • The student must show a willingness to contribute musically to his/her school and or church by regular participation.

  • The student must be willing to participate in an audition during Academy Days or upload an online audition.

  • For an online audition, record, and upload to google drive and share the link with gina.hubin@auburn.org. You can upload an online audition by February 12, 2024.

  • Students auditioning in person on Academy Day are expected to have their pieces prepared to play for the music director. If a vocal audition requires an accompaniment track, accompaniment must be easily accessible via the internet or a digital file or CD.

  • Students are encouraged to bring their instruments if possible.  If you do not have your instrument, arrangements can be made during the registration process.

At Home Scholarship Opportunities are also available to those who would like a little more time to prepare and for those who are not able to attend in person. All online applications can be submitted until February 12, 2024.
